What is Holistic Health & Recovery Coaching?

Throughout my personal recovery it was clear that I needed much more than just physical rehabilitation. As we are complex multi-faceted human beings, a holistic approach to healing is paramount. Especially when we are dealing with chronic illness.

Holistic coaching is an approach that facilitates clients to become their best, most powerful healing self. Appropriate questioning, guidance and support during the sessions will help my clients to create more self-awareness, discovering their beliefs, blocks, values, strengths and gifts. We will discover what may be holding their healing back, ways to overcome them, and then support them to create their desired changes - ultimately teaching them how to think, feel and do in a way that supports maximum healing transformation.

In my sessions I use a blend of psychological approaches, taking into account the mind-body connection, biology of belief, the nervous system, applied neuroscience and positive psychology, to help my clients attain skills and knowledge to achieve their goals.

What does a session look like?

All sessions are virtual / online via zoom.

They may include:

  • A discussion to identify the main concerns and problems and establish personal goals and an action plan. This may include questioning to promote self-reflection and self-discovery and to assist in navigating obstacles, uncovering subconscious and limiting beliefs and personal strengths and values.

  • Education regarding the autonomic nervous system & the brain, pain education, the stress response, the mind-body connection, energy management, pacing & expanding techniques, supportive daily habits, sleep hygiene, nourishing rest, and safe movement.

  • Practical neuroscience, positive psychology and mind-body practices such as body awareness, somatic techniques, breathing exercises, mindfulness and meditation, nervous system regulation, brain retraining, emotional processing techniques, stress management, mindset support, pacing/expansion and energy management.

  • All sessions and plans will be considered for every individual taking into account their current energy envelope, PEM, nervous system sensitivity and functional status.

I offer individual 30 minute or 60 minute casual sessions that can be booked as you please. These sessions include:

I offer a number of coaching packages outlined below. I would highly recommend coaching packages because we know that recovery and healing takes time. Packages allows you to receive maximal support for a reduced cost.

  • Best for those who want weekly to fortnightly sessions

2. Flourish Coaching Package

  • 8 x 45-60 minute sessions

3. Flower Coaching Package

  • 4 x 45-60 minute sessions

  • Best for those who want a session every 3-4 weeks (approx once per month).

    All sessions will be conducted via Zoom. You will need to download the app, and have a reliable internet connection and charged device

  • I kindly ask for 24 hours notice on any appointment cancellation. This will enable me to help others in need during your appointment time slot.

    I also understand that chronic illness can be unpredictable sometimes, so if you have a last minute change in energy/symptoms/function due to your chronic illness and you feel cancelling your appointment will serve your recovery best, I will always be compassionate and understanding and will aim to assist you in any way I can. Please reach out as soon as you can and we can figure out what is best for you.

    I will ask you questions so that we can get a clear picture of your current problems, and work together to discover solutions.
